Future of On-Chain Communities
CoinSense is a product by Filip Podstavec and his team, focused on reshaping how on-chain communities make decisions and manage shared assets. The project currently lives as a Discord bot, helping Web3 communities govern, reward, and engage their members using token-based logic and automation. But behind the scenes, the team is building a full-featured web application—and that’s where I came in.
Designing for a Crypto-Native Audience
In early exploration, I worked closely with the team to define a visual direction that would resonate with the Web3 space—a niche with its own expectations, behaviors, and aesthetic codes. The goal was to strike a balance: futuristic and digital-native, but still clean, clear, and usable for daily workflows. We explored several UI concepts and interface directions to find the right tone for the product.
I also supported the product discovery phase by helping define key functionalities, user roles, and navigation logic for the upcoming web app—ensuring that the design foundation could grow with the complexity of the platform. Although the current MVP exists as a Discord bot, we approached the design of the web app as a long-term system, not a static interface.
Building a Scalable Design Foundation
I created a custom UI kit tailored to the product's needs—with tokens, reusable components, and responsive templates for desktop, tablet, and mobile views. The design system was built with scalability and developer handoff in mind, using structured files and smart constraints to simplify future updates and feature additions.
During the transition to development, I also prepared all assets and documentation for the external dev agency. I coordinated directly with their team to ensure smooth handoff, aligning on component behavior, responsiveness, and interaction logic.
"Coinsense had long existed only as a Discord bot. When I decided to transform the project into a web application, Martin was the first person I reached out to based on our previous collaboration. He immediately jumped in — thoroughly analyzed the project, our current state and goals, outlined a strategy, identified potential challenges, and set a clear structure for the entire process.
At the start, we explored a visual direction that would naturally fit the Web3 and crypto space, and the very first designs convinced me it was exactly what we needed. Martin delivered a complete set of user flows in all states and variations, and even laid the foundation for our future design system to support growth and scaling. The developers were excited about the handoff, and implementation went smoothly. I’m looking forward to continuing to evolve the design together."

Still in Progress
The full web app is currently under development. The work done so far lays the groundwork for a product that merges Web3 innovation with a thoughtful, user-centered design system. CoinSense is built to grow with its users—and when the next phase launches, the foundation will be ready to scale.
